Day 10 – A book you thought you wouldn’t like but ended up loving
I don't normally pick up books that I don't think I'll like. There were quite a few in high school that I was required to read for class that I actually ended up enjoying, though, and my favorite one of those was:
A Tale of Two Cities, by Charles Dickens.
I've even read it a couple of times since high school just for fun. So that's that.
Yes. I was always surprised that I liked Dickens when I was forced to read his works in school. I had a teacher in HS all but ruin this book for me, but I went back later and liked it without all the bs English Lit analysis. The same with Great Expectations.
